Arizona Food Allergy Alliance knows that the living with a food allergy and/or anaphylaxis is not easy. It's a day-to-day battle that will be lived for the rest of your life, until there's a cure. Newly diagnosed individuals and their parents seem to have the hardest time initially adjusting.
We have created the Helping Hand program, to help make this step in life a little easier. Helping Hand is one person in the food allergy community reaching out to another. This program allows newly diagnosed individuals and/or their care takers to talk to "someone who has walked in their shoes". In return, it allows those that have "been down that road", to give back to the community with the hope of making it a little easier for someone else, than it was for them. You can chat via email, phone, or meet in person. It's completely up to you and what your comfort level is. If you are interested in being available to help someone, or if you would like a buddy to chat with...just complete the adjacent form.
