State of Arizona Senate Bill 1278 Restaurants; Allergy Awareness Requirements
Arizona Food Allergy Alliance has been working in concert with State Senator Linda Lopez, Arizona Legistlative District 29, on a what has now been drafted as State Bill 1278: Restaurants; Allergy Awareness Requirements. This bill is essentially created coupling AFAA's Restaurant Training Initiative (see below) and Massachusettes State law regarding restaurants.
The bill was heard on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 by the Commerce & Energy Committee. SB 1278 was voted down 4:2, but will be redrafted and heard again next session in 2013. Help us overcome this small pebble, as we conquer the mountain together!
